The Hamakua Coast

Here is a shot that we took from the helicopter that shows most of the Hamakua coastline. It was amazing!

The Waipio Valley

We didn't think that anything would top the volcanoes from the air until we got up to the Hamakua Coastline. The waterfalls stole the show! We saw lots of waterfalls and they were beautiful. The pilot flew us back into one of the valleys and hovered near the back of the valley where three waterfalls fell almost 2,000 feet to sea level. The pilot had us at about 1,000 feet and so when you looked out the window you could not see the top of the waterfall because it was so tall. We never knew that these waterfalls were here until we took the helicopter ride. It was a great trip!!!!!
